I've read the following regarding the 12/7/68 version, but I so very ignorantly don't even know if I've ever heard the "Minute Waltz." I don't know much else about the evolution of the song and the changes it went through in structure and such, not anymore than the next guy, anyway. I do know the song rules.

"The Phil bass solo in New Potato Caboose contains a jam based on Frederick Chopin's piece 'Opus #64', also known as 'The Minute Waltz'."
